The Aku made a huge splash when Phase Five released it years ago. An instant crowd favorite due to its fast carving, air boosting shape. After a several year hiatus, the Phase 5 Aku is back. The 2nd version of the Aku is the same great shape as the first version but dressed in a sick, new splat paint graphic and more affordable construction.

Back in the lineup and ready to make a splash, the Phase 5 Aku V2 is a traditional surf style shape that delivers a true high-performance ride. Its diamond tail shape gets great “push” from the wave for quick acceleration and serious top-end speed. A full outline makes smooth, sweeping turns look easy. Its new construction helps reduce the price so that more wakesurfers can experience the Aku ride that is loved by so many. Hand shaped with a traditional EPS foam core, the Aku is then glassed with a lightweight glass for a lighter, more reactive feel. Its twin fin setup is configured for maximum speed and drive down the wave.
