In just a few years the Phase 5 Ahi has not just become one of the more popular Phase 5 boards, but one of the more recognized wakesurf boards in all of wakesurfing. Named after the speedy quick yellowfin tuna, the Phase 5 Ahi exhibits those same characteristics. This surf style board is as fast as they get, carves hard, and can boost big airs.

The boxier squash tail gives the Ahi some serious push down the line for serious top-end speed and huge pop off the wake for airs. Its quad fin setup is more forward than traditional fin boxes, making it faster down the line and easier to spin the board for 360’s. A pulled-in nose design helps make it faster rail to rail through turns, carves, and slashes. With its level of speed and carve-ability you can be burying a bottom turn one second and linking it with a slash off the wave’s lip the next moment. This board is designed and built to provide the ultimate wakesurf ride.

New for 2019, the Ahi is built with Phase 5’s exclusive FLEXtec V2 layup. Rides like a traditional surfboard but will pull away from all the other boards when it kicks it into fifth gear. A carbon fiber stringer throughout the entire board increases its rigidity and improved energy transfers through turns. Equipped with a quad fin setup, the Ahi has great hold on turns and gives you that classic surfboard feel. Ride with all four fins for the most grip on your turns or ride with two for a looser, more playful feel. The further forward placement of the fin boxes gives it quicker acceleration and easier to break the fins free for spins, airs, etc. The new Techno Grip traction pad from Phase 5 gives your feet unreal grip so that the board always moves as you do.
