Ronix’s famed Super Sonic Space Odyssey Series is growing this year with the new addition of the Skimmer, a traditional skim style board shape shrunken down so the kids can shred.

Getting your child a kids’ specific board makes wakesurfing a much easier and more enjoyable experience for everyone. The board is shrunken down to 3′ 11″ to better accommodate the smaller, lighter groms. Your kid will struggle to control an adult size wakesurf board but will be much more confident on a smaller kid’s specific board.

The Ronix Super Sonic Space Odyssey Skimmer is a traditional skim shape that has a skate inspired feel on the water that is perfect for executing tricks such as spins and ollies. Its pintail design stis deeper in the water for more contact and feel. The thinner profile on a skim style board gives it faster top-end speed. A crisp, hard rail outline allows for high speed carves and the ability to easily release the board for spins.

Ronix has updated the construction of their Super Sonic Space Odyssey Series boards for 2019 to improve the overall durability because let’s be honest, kids don’t take the best care of things. The board is now a compression molded construction. This is the same way a wakeboard is built. Although slightly heavier than a high-performance surfer, this board won’t ding or crack when your kid drops it, runs it into the swim deck, etc.
